An Assessment on the Safety of Drinking Water Resources in Yasouj, Iran

The health of drinking water is an important criterion for developed countries and around half the world’s population deprived sanitary safe water. By identifying time pollution occurrence places that are most sensitive to management quality can be planned. Since landfill Yasouj, a city in Iran, was located higher place than wells, which were drilled karst aquifer, safety resources (including eight wells) Yasouj investigated present study. For this purpose, different parameters, comprising concentration heavy metals ions, alkalinity, total harness, pH, biological oxygen demand (BOD5) coliform, measured over 12 months obtained data compared with WHO’s Iran’s standards.
